Red peppers ( capsicum)-2 cut into medium sized pieces.
Onion-1 cut into medium sized pieces.
Tomato-1 cut into medium sized pieces/
Chana dal- 1 table spoon
Tamarind- a small piece
Oil- 3 table spoon for frying,1 table spoon for seasoning
Mustard seeds- 2 tea spoon
Curry leaves-for seasoning
Urad dal-1 tea spoon
salt- to taste
1.In a kadai, pour 3 table spoons of oil and add chana dal, red chillies and garlic pods.
2.Fry onions till they turn light brown, then add capsicum and tomatoes one by one and fry till they are cooked well.
3.Switch off the stove and let it cool.
4.Once the fried mixture cools down, grind it along with a small piece of tamarind and salt
5.Season the chutney with mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
Ps: I used red peppers.Alternatively, green peppers can be used too.
