We get a peas curry from a hotel nearby my home in Kerala and I love it.I used to wonder how they make it the same way every single time.I have tried, just tried recreating the same peas curry.
Green peas- 1 cup
Ginger- a small piece
Garlic- 4 cloves
Chilli powder- 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder-1 tea spoon
Eastern curry masala powder- 1 table spoon
Fennel seeds- 1 tea spoon
Coconut milk- 3/4 cup ( thick/ thin)
Oil- 2 table spoon
1.Microwave the green peas for 5-6 minutes and keep aside.
2.Chop onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes.
3.Put a pan on stove, pour oil.Add fennel seeds and once they splutter, add garlic and ginger and fry for a minute.
4.Add chopped onions ans fry until light brown
5.Add tomatoes and fry until the juice comes out.
6.Add the cooked green peas
7.Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, eastern curry masala powder and salt.
8.Once the raw smells gives away, pour the coconut milk
9.Give it a boil and switch off.
10..Serve with chappathis or malabar parottas.Serves:2-3
