Left over/Fresh idlis-15 nos
Ginger- a small piece
Soy sauce-1 tea spoon
Chilly sauce-1 tea spoon
Chilli powder-1 tea spoon
Idli podi -2 tea spoon* ( spicy powder used as a side dish for idli/ dosa)
Oil-for deep frying and 2 table spoon for frying veggies
Spring onion- for garnish
1.Cut the idli into small pieces and deep fry them.Keep aside.
2.Chop onion, green chilly,ginger garlic into small pieces.Cur capsicum into medium sized pieces.
3.In a kadai, heat oil and fry green chilly, ginger garlic for a few seconds and add onions and fry until pink.
4.Add diced capsicum and fry until crisp and cooked.
5.Add the two sauces, red chilli powder, idli podi and once the saces and the powder mixes well, add salt.
6.Throw in the deep fried idlis and fry until the mixture coats the idli.Switch off on getting the desired consistency.Garnish with spirng onions and serve with raita.
Ps: This dish is bound to make you feel heavy as its fried in oil, so once in a while, this is ok
